TransRakyat.com Jakarta – Sekelompok mahasiswa KAMMI menyambut gencatan senjata Israel dan Palestina dengan mengibarkan bendera Palestina di pintu gerbang kampus UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, (21/5/2021). Massa kemudian melanjutkan perjalanan menuju kedubes AS untuk bergabung dalam aksi solidaritas Indonesia untuk kemerdekaan Palestina.
Gencatan senjata diumumkan Jum’at (21/5/2021) pukul 2 pagi waktu setempat. Israel dan militan Palestina sepakati gencatan senjata untuk mengakhiri konflik yang berlangsung 11 hari terakhir. Sejak pertempuran 10 Mei di pihak Palestina tercatat 232 orang tewas dalam serangan yang dilancarkan oleh Israel. Sedangkan otoritas Israel melaporkan 12 korban tewas hingga saat ini.
Ahmad Kurniawan, staff Kebijakan Publik PD KAMMI Tangerang Selatan menyampaikan dukungan kesepakatan gencatan senjata antara Israel dan militan Hamas Palestina.
